Fedora Hats

Back in the Good Old Days all men wore hats. It was uncommon not to see men wearing a hat on their head. Whether they were dressed up in a suit or sport jacket or even a dock worker in his blue collar coveralls and cap on his head. All men wore hats. Many in the hat industry say that the person who single-handedly destroyed ubiquitous head wear was JFK. JFK was the first American President to not be seen wearing a hat on his head. He hated them. Their is only rare footage of him wearing one. If anything JFK might be seen carrying one but after a while he even stopped doing that. When hats were on top of nearly everymans head. The hat that was usually on top of the well dressed man’s head was the fedora. The fedora hat was invented in the 1920s. Fedora Hats are also called the Trilby as well. A fedora hat is usually made out of felt and has a crease on top of the crown and has an indentations on the front of crown as well. Back in the old days, Fedora Hats only came in grey,brown, and black. These days they are made in many colors. Some of them bright colors to match your suit. What makes Fedora Hats special is that you can bend the brim ever so slightly to conform to your style. Most popular is bending the front of the brim down. Some people like to bend the brim down and give the hat a slight tilt on the head. However you wear your fedora, the choice is up to you.

I guess in some twisted way, being a pimp has become cool. It’s all cool until you go to jail though. Now these days you rarely see Pimps dressed in the manner that they once did only because the smarter ones have learned that it brings too much Police attention to you. You can’t be a pimp and do your business if you are always getting locked up. These days pimps are dressing in much more scaled down manner. The Pimp Hats they wear are usually Godfather Hats and Crazy looking outfits they wear now are zoot suits. They can still Pimp their style just by the way they put it all together and carry themselves but it is a far cry from Don the Magic Juan.
